There are Five Life Essentials and when combined into a lifestyle one can truly obtain optumum Health and a higher quality of life!
- Functioning Nervous System: “Garbage In = Garbage Out”
Many Years ago Galen said, “In the future, we will look to the Nervous System as the key to maximum health.” Chiropractors use this hypothesis to directly effect the Nervous System in a non-invasive manner, so that our main computer can work properly.
- Movement: “3M’s of Movement” Motion, Maximize, Maintain
First motion must be initiated, at one specific place or throughout the entire body. Then we work to increase the motion until we reach maximal range. Lastly, we work to maintain the Motion that was obtained. There is better potential to heal if the systems are working properly.
- Physical Fitness: Prevention, prevention, prevention!
Excercise not only promotes great musculoskeletal health, but also cardiovascular health, balance, equilibrium and even helps to prevent the body from developing injuries. There is less potential for injury when the body is functioning at its best!
- Nutrition: Adequate nutrition and hydration is required to supply the body with the essentials needed to create energy to fuel our systems.
- Emotional Stability: Stress creates a state of dis-stress within the body! Long-term heightened stress levels can actually create hormonal changes. These changes may lead to depression, obesity, and disease. Luckily, if one’s life incorporates all of the above, a sound state of mind is the result without much extra effort.
